Long Term Planning Manager/(COAL MINING)
Function:
Responsible for the development of long term plans and strategies that maximize the benefit derived from the exploitation of available coal resources.
Main Duties:
- Provide for the optimization of available resources based on prevailing business conditions.
- Development long range plans for the exploitation of available resources
- Development of JORC compliant resources and reserves statements
- Development of mine closure plans and statutory plans
- Provide direction to the Land Compensation Dept to allow timely access to land required for mining and associated works
- Liaise with Marketing to ensure the best synergy between market requirements and deposit capability.

- Processing and Barge Loading Division
- External Affairs Division
- Geology Dept
- Geotechnical Dept
- Environmental Dept
External Liaisons:
- Central Government Departments
- Consultants
Qualifications:
Degree in Mining Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering or Geology
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years working in a technical role in a large coal mine, of which 5 years was in a senior mine planning role
Skills:
- Proficient user of Minescape and Xpac
- Proficient user of MS Office
- Very good written and oral English
